Qualcomm reports an 8% profit gain
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) – Qualcomm Inc. on Wednesday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter profit of $865 million, or 53 cents a share, compared with a profit of $803 million, or 48 cents a share, for the year-earlier period. Revenue was $2.95 billion, up from $2.69 billion. Adjusted income was 68 cents a share. Analysts had expected the company report earnings of 59 cents a share, on revenue of $2.85 billion, according to a consensus survey by FactSet Research.
